One of the biggest rematches of the year will come to fruition tomorrow night (Sat., Nov. 23, 2019) live on FOX PPV from inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as reigning WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KO) puts his belt on the line again in a main event rematch with Cuban southpaw Luis Ortiz (31-1, 26 KO).Remember, the two heavyweights collided in March of last year from inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It ended up being one of the toughest fights of Wilder’s storied career and a matchup that ultimately forced “Bronze Bomber” to fight from behind and land a critical 10th-round TKO finish.

Without that win, fight fans may not have even seen Wilder fight Tyson Fury later that year in one of the most talked about boxing matches in a very long time.In advance to Wilder’s anticipated rematch with Ortiz, both heavyweights stepped on the scale earlier tonight for official weigh ins. Wilder, who is known as a slimmer heavyweight with incredible punching power, came in at 219.5 pounds. Ortiz, on the other hand, is a bigger-framed heavyweight and he touched down at 236.5 pounds. After both men made their title rematch official they came face-to-face for one final staredown. Check it out above courtesy of FOX Sports/PBC.With limited MMA action this weekend it’s going to be easy for Wilder vs. Ortiz 2 to garner the attention it deserves.

Because whether or not you enjoy Wilder’s chaotic fighting style there’s no denying that the 34-year-old champion is one of the most dominant forces in boxing today.MMAmania will have LIVE coverage of the main event, which caps off a 9:00 pm Eastern FOX pay-per-view.

By Christian Jarrett Ahead of the world heavyweight boxing. Face to face for the customary stare down earlier this week, there were no smiles.

This reminds me of my adolescence. I'd be thinking about 'how do I carry myself so everyone will respect/like me?'

Sadly there's no universal solution. Everyone looks at people differently. For instance, fighting taught me that the scarier/bigger someone looks, the shittier their technique tends to be.

Stelara medication. If you put effort into your staredown, your opponent might think 'bahahaah I see what you're doing.' So my suggestion, don't put too much effort into what you want them to think.

It's a gamble. Make sure your own head is clear, you're comfortable, you don't get intimidated. Incidentally, seeing a very comfortable confident opponent would unsettle me a lot.

Why do fighters stare down

'Integral part', yeah, no.Just go to the heavies and see all the armchair psychologists analyze who's going to win the fight based on the stare downs, and notice how wrong they are. Stare downs don't mean shit.Anyway, since you're interested in it, here's a quote from Fedor's wiki page:In Fighter’s Only Magazine, a had been quoted saying, 'The best when it comes to the stare down is Fedor Emelianenko. Watch him: he does not make eye contact and his entire expression is extremely relaxed - you would think he is about to perform a ballet or something. But here is the crucial thing.

When the referee tells them to head back to their corners, Fedor suddenly darts a short look directly at his opponent - or through his opponent, I should say. This kind of look is associated with antisocial behavioral disorders and psychopaths. They don't look at you, they look through you.

It's emotionless; it goes deeper than skin level. You will get a lot of fighters who will catch that look and suddenly realize they don't want to be there. Wanderlei Silva has a stare-down that makes you think 'this is gonna hurt', but Fedor's makes you think 'I might die'.'
